Indications

MUCOID-A   is a combination of Ambroxol, and Acetylcysteine which belongs to the group of drugs known as Mucolytics.

It is used to prevent or treat symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), such as coughing, shortness of breath or wheezing, tracheobronchitis (inflammation of airways (trachea and bronchi)), emphysema with bronchitis pneumoconiosis, and chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions.

It also treats bronchiectasis (widening of airways of lungs), and bronchitis with bronchospasm asthma (tightening of the muscles of the bronchi causing shortness of breath), acute exacerbations of bronchitis and cystic fibrosis (an inherited disorder characterised by build-up of thick mucus in lungs).

MUCOID-A   acts by reducing the viscosity (thickness and stickiness) of the mucus (sputum) in the airways and makes it easier to expel (cough it out) and makes breathing easier.
